SPECIAL EXCEPTION

An application for a SPECIAL EXCEPTION to the Zoning Ordinance of the City Rainsville, Alabama has been filed at the office of the City Clerk. The present land use district in which the Special Exception is requested is as follows: AG AGRICULTURAL DISTRIC. The Special Exception request is to: allow for a Utility Building. The Special Exception request is on the following described property located at:  115 Morgan Road, Rainsville, Al. 35986
 
Commence at an existing railroad spike in the pavement of Country Club Lane (50ft. R.O.W.) marking the northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 33, Township 6 South, Range 8 East of the Huntsville Meridian and proceed North 89 degrees 32 minutes East for a distance of 25.0 feet to the East right-of-way boundary of Country Club Lane; thence proceed South 00 degree 15 minutes West with the East R.O.W. boundary of Country Club Lane for a distance of 253.6 feet to an existing iron pin with cap (PLS #11568); thence proceed South 89 degrees 45 minutes East for a distance of 186.9 feet to an existing iron pin with cap (PLS #11568), thence proceed North 19 degrees 47 minutes East for a distance of 387.3 feet to an existing iron pin with cap (PLS #11568); thence proceed south 60 degrees 55 minutes East for a distance of 555.3 feet to an iron pin set with cap (PLS #11568), said point being the point of beginning;
thence continue South 60 degrees 55 minutes East for a distance of 85.2 feet to an existing iron pin with cap (PLS #11568) on the northwest right-of-way boundary of Morgan Road (R.O.W. varies); thence proceed South 70 degrees 57 minutes West with the northwest R.O.W. boundary of Morgan Road for a distance of 78.8 feet to an iron pin set with cap
(PLS #11568); thence leaving said R.O.W. boundary, proceed due North for a distance of 67.2 feet to the point of beginning.
 
SAID PARCEL OF LAND LYLING IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTERS (NW1/4) OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE1/4) OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 6 SOUTH, RANGE 8 EAST, CITY OF RAINSVILLE DeKALB COUNTY, ALABAMA AND CONTAINING 2,5OO SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS.
 
The Rainsville Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on MARCH 11, 2010 at 6:00 at the Rainsville Fire Hall at which time and place all persons who desire shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of such amendment or change.

Sealed proposals will be received by The Public Building Authority of the City of Rainsville, Alabama, until 5:30 PM, local time, on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Rainsville Fire Hall; Rainsville, Alabama, for the furnishing and installation of LIVESTOCK STALLS at the AGRICENTER. RAINSVILLE, ALABAMA, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of required insurance will be required at the signing of the Contract.
Bid Documents are available from the Architect and at various plan rooms.
The successful Bidder must be licensed by the State of Alabama.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the
Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
