Adams

Mr. Johnny "Johnny Reb" Adams, 66, of Section, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 26, at Section Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chuck Little, Roger Little and Jason Little officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Adams of Section; children and their spouses, Margaret and Tony Hill of Section, Tammy and Barry Greenleaf of Rainsville, Donna and Terry Carroll of Section and Johnny and Karen Adams of Scottsboro; seven grandchildren, Brandy Greenleaf, Travis Greenleaf, Byron, Drake and Taylor Adams, Nicole Hill and Brody Carroll; siblings, Kay Adams, Becky Hill, Brenda Jackson, Harold Adams and Marvin Adams.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Diane Adams; and brothers, Bill Adams and Otis "Jr." Adams.



Darwin

Mr. James "Jim" Darwin, 49, of Rosalie, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Highlands Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Bass and Dr. David Smith officiating. Burial followed in Rosalie Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Hancock Darwin of Rosalie; son, Matthew Darwin of Rosalie; daughter, Paige Darwin of Rosalie; sister, Sandy Darwin of Rosalie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Janet Darwin of Pisgah and Tommie and Pam Darwin of Rosalie; and chosen son, Jett Stevens.

Mr. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, D.O. and Gerleen Bass Darwin.

Mr. Darwin was a graduate of Pisgah High School Class of 1979 and had worked in the sales and retail business.



Durden

Mr. Donald Durden, 71, of Henagar, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Cloverdale Manor.

No services are planned.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Durden of Henagar; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gary Crouse of Gainesville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Dawn Durden of Acworth, Ga.; Greg Durden of McRae; step-daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Barry Roberts of Henagarl step-brother, Bruce Powell Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.



Fowler

Mr. Johnny J. Fowler, 53, of Crossville, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Sue Fowler of Crossville; daughter, Sandra D. Mize of Altoona; sons, Ronald A. Fowler of Athens, Ga. and Johnny W. Fowler of Geraldine; sisters, Mary Moore of Fyffe, Katie Smith of Albertville and Leor Smith of Collinsville; brothers, Lonnie Ralph Fowler of Crossville, Bill Rivers of Albertville, Lonnie Wade Fowler of Guntersville, Robert L. Smith of Collinsville, Wesley Smith of Collinsville and J.B. Smith of Collinsville; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Fowler and John Smith; and brother, Hershal Fowler.



Houston

Mrs. Lynne Long Houston, 39, of Macedonia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Highlands Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Section Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shannan Williams and the Rev. Thomas Gerald Houston officiating. Burial followed in Green Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Houston of Macedonia; mother and step-father, Peggy and Perry Guffey of Scottsboro; father and step-mother, Larry Don and Teresa Long of Scottsboro; grandmother and her husband, Verna Rae and Kenneth Clemons of Scottsboro; sister, Lauren Long of Scottsboro; and step-children, Rebaha Houston and Addison Thompson.

Mrs. Houston was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leon Long; grandparents, Arnold and Veda Lands; and uncles, Wendell and Roy Long.



Millican

Mrs. Jeannine Millican, 61, of LaBelle, Fla., formerly of Pisgah, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in Florida.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 25, at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ben Millican Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Ben Millican Jr. of LaBelle, Fla.; daughter, Lauri G. Ford of Pisgah; son, Gy Sgt. Thomas C. Millican of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Sandy Avila of Georgia, Linda Allen of Ohio, and Joyce Glennon and Sharon Gaffney, both of Florida; brothers, Chuck Peyton of Ohio, Ed Sermon of Tennessee, Jim Jarnagin of Florida and Pat Jarnagin of Colorado; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Millican served with her husband, Ben, for 25 years with Macedonia World Baptist Missions in Grenada, West Indies, New Mexico, West Virginia and Florida. She passed away in church at Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Testamento, while serving the Lord Jesus Christ in LaBelle, Fla.



Sutton

Ms. Margaret Sutton, 72, of Scottsboro, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Shepherd's Cove Hospice.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 24, at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Bro. Shirley Byrum, Bro. Scott Cooley and Bro. Gary Nix officiating. Burial followed in Old Sardis Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Mark A. and Angie Sutton of Dutton; and a brother, Tommy Nix of Section.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Woodall.

Ms. Sutton was a member of Scottsboro Holiness Church.
