Baugh

Mr. Julian D. Baugh, 40, of Rainsville died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Services were held Sunday, Feb. 18, from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Irby Wooten officiating. Burial followed in the Kirk Memorial Gardens with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville directing.

Survivors include: wife, Melissa Wooten Baugh of Rainsville; sons, Jonathan Lavery-Baugh and Daniel Baugh, both of Rainsville; mother, Ruby Izell Warden of Collinsville; sister, Marlene Greeson of Rainsville; and brother, Stoney Baugh of Rainsville.

Mr. Baugh was preceded in death by his father, Henry L. Baugh; brother, Raylon Baugh; and his grandparents, Dewey and Opal Izell and Mark and Retha Baugh.

Dietzway

Mrs. Lena B. Dietzway, 95, of Scottsboro died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Crossville Health Care Center.

Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20, from the Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Fincher officiating. Burial followed in the Macedonia Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville directing.

Survivors include: sister, Myrtle Wilborn of Scottsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Dietzway was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She served her county during World War II at New York City with the Nursing Corps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dietzway.

Geren

Mrs. Maxine Traylor Geren, 82, of Section died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at her residence.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, from the Section Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the Bluff Cemetery with Section Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda and Charles Fossett of Section and Johnnie Geren of Rainsville; brother, Wendell Traylor of Gadsden; sisters, Amelia Boggis and Pat Ford, both of Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Geren was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Geren; brother, Tony Traylor; and parents, Glover and Essie Traylor.

Gregory

Mr. Jack Gregory, 86, of Rainsville died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Crowne Health Care.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, from the Rainsville Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Junior Garrett and Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Mountain View Memory Gardens with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: son, Galen Gregory of Henderson, Nev.; brothers, Wilbur Gregory of Portland, Ore., and Eugene Gregory and Robert Gregory, both of Saint Joe, Mo.; and sisters, Edith Holder of Florida and Thelma Hopkins of Mississippi.

Kenimer

Mr. J B Kenimer, 79, of Ider died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Highlands Medical Center.

Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20, from the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Billy Stallings officiating. Burial followed in the Fuller Cemetery with Corner Stone Funeral Chapel of Ider directing.

Survivors include: son, Gary Kenimer of Ider; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Eddie Hill of Ider; sister, Inez Prestwood of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kenimer was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

Kilgore

Mr. Raymond H. Kilgore, 71, of Kennesaw, Ga., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007.

Services were held Sunday, Feb. 18, from the Kerby Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Fred Porter officiating. Burial followed in the Green Haven Memorial Garden with Kerby Funeral Home of Henagar directing.

Survivors include: wife, Doreen Kilgore of Kennesaw, Ga.; sons, Rickey Kilgore of Acworth, Ga., Wendell Kilgore of Kennesaw, Ga., and Greg Kilgore of Rockmart, Ga.; daughters, Debbie Payton of Hogansville, Ga., and Beth Carlton of Cedar Bluff; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Kilgore was a native of Jackson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. and Opal Guffey Kilgore.

McKay

Mr. John L. McKay, 76, of Flat Rock died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at his residence.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 17, from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Flat Rock with the Revs. Watson Williams, Paul King and Jim Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Kerby Funeral Home of Henagar directing.

Survivors include: daughters, Marie Young of Flat Rock, Tanah Price of Jasper, Tenn., Gidget McKay and Nikki McKay, both of Grant, and Tabatha Knight of Henagar; sisters, Thelma Marshall of Pisgah and Vivian White of Lafayette, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McKay was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Annie Anderson McKay; his wife, Mary Foote McKay; brother, Herbert Stancell; and sister, Mary Sue McKay.

Norwood

Mrs. Barbara Ann Norwood, 53, of Collinsville died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007.

Services were held Friday, Feb. 16, from the Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Brown and Roger White officiating. Burial followed in the Copeland Bridge Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville directing.

Survivors include: husband, Bobby Norwood of Collinsville; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Sammy Beene of Collinsville; son and his fiancee, Blake Norwood and Shasta Dingler of Collinsville; brother, Charles Goodridge of Rainsville; and parents, Clinton and Betty Goodridge of Rainsville.

Mrs. Norwood was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Norwood.

Patterson

Mrs. Carol Patterson, 60, of Rainsville died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at her residence.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 19, from the Old Sardis Holiness Church with the Rev. Ray Davis officiating. Burial followed n the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: husband, Paul Patterson of Rainsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jon Simms of Lindale, Ga., and Tonya and Jay LaHayne of Rainsville; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Tony Blackwell and Stephanie and David Williams, all of Rainsville, and Tasha and Jeff Smith of Fort Payne; stepson and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Suzie Patterson of Rainsville; brother, Richard David “Ricky” Nelson of Rome, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Justice; brothers, James Larry Nelson and John Robert “Bobby” Nelson; and parents, James Oliver Nelson and Anna Lewis Jackson Nelson Walker.

Rearden

Mrs. Pauline Rearden, 77, of Sylvania died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Crowne Health Care in Fort Payne.

Services were held Friday, Feb. 16, from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Butch Tanner, Earl Heard and Bradford officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel of Rainsville directing.

Survivors include: husband, William “Buck” Rearden; stepdaughter, Maxine Ashby of Ringgold, Ga.; sisters, Beverly Wade of Henagar, Brenda Childers of Sylvania and Rena Lynn Vale of Indiana; three nieces; and three nephews.

Shelton

Mr. Wesley Shelton, 63, of Section died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at his residence.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 17, from the Section Funeral Home chapel with Bros. Johnny Wallace and Gary Munson officiating. Burial followed in the Chaney Chapel Cemetery with Section Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: daughter, Sheila Gail Venable of Scottsboro; sons, Anthony Shelton, Wesley Grimstad and Sanford Shelton, all of Scottsboro; sisters, Sylvia Eakins of Section and Carol Johnston of Monroe, Ga.; brothers, Loyd Shelton and Willie Shelton, both of Fort Payne, Bobby Mays of Tennessee and Rayford Mays of Sand Rock; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Thrasher

Mrs. Mattie Sue Thrasher, 69, of Fyffe died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. from the Rainsville Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. John Satterfield and Harold Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Green’s Chapel Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Roger Camp of Grove Oak, Rita and Vern Shaw of Hokes Bluff and Regina and Steve Lawson of Gadsden; sister, Glenda Mitchell of Henagar; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Thrasher was preceded in death by her husband, Reacy Thrasher; daughter, Nila Sue Thrasher; parents, Doil and Irene Coots; and brothers, Palmer D. Coots and Charles C. Coots.

Wright

Mr. Clyde Wright, 79, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Fort Payne, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in Georgia.

Services were held Sunday, Feb. 18, from the Rainsville Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the Fisher Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: son, Gene Wright of Rainsville; brothers, Lester Wright of Rainsville and Don Wright and Joe Wright, both of Fort Payne; sisters, Virginia Dunn of Fort Payne, Catherine Hinton of Canton, Ga., and Gracie McWilliams of Conyers, Ga.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
